Our house-well some of it

Ok, so we have fixed up alot of rooms and gotten some new furniture for our rooms without any:) Here is our dining room...we FINALLY got chairs to go with the table we bought 3 years ago! We are excited! We also finally got this blue room painted, and the moldings done and painted..with the shelves put up! I still have to find some stuff to put on the shelves...still looking! This is another view of the dining room, with the buffet and hutch that matches the table. I LOVE this piece of furniture!! Pics dont do it justice. It is so beautiful.
Here is some more pics of the kitchen. It still isnt finished with the touches..but soon!

Brooke and Disnee finally got their room painted and they also got beds finally. Disnee has been sleeping on #10 cans and a matress since we moved in.....We went with the same blue as the bathroom, and it looks super cute for the girls. They dont think it matches their beds, but what do they know??

Disnee's bed and dresser. The dressers the girls have, are mine from when I was a little girl. my sister and I shared them, and they were white. I have had them for almost 30 years!! They are still in amazing condition! We just painted them black to match. We had gotten new knobs a few years ago, so they were still cute and matched!

Master bedroom..our tv and dresser.-dont mind troys mess in the corner of his weights and pull up bar..there is just no place in our room for them to look good! Our bed , side tables and troys favorite chaise lounger!

Macee got a cute bunk bed, with just the top part. She loves it! We just put her kitchen under it and made it a fun fun bedroom!! One side of the bed has a desk in it, and the other side has a few shelves. It has built in drawers so she really doesnt even have or need a dresser. So cute! It gives her lots of room to play!

The boys room still isnt quite done with the shelves up yet..will post those asap!

Stuff

Brooke had a home track meet this last Friday. She has been running for the Annies this year, and is suprising her coach at how well she is doing. Here she is running the 4x200 relay. She is a freshman and running with the high school relay team! If you notice in this picture, most of the other girls were pretty intimidating to Brooke, all these fast black girls, and she was very nervous!!! Here she is from across the field..she has such great strides and long legs! She has wonderful form. Her team took 5th in the invitational...which for Centralia its apparently pretty good. They dont have a very big or strong track team out here....its not big like some of the other sports. Man she needs a tan! Love you Brooke, now I have to get her to quit being a chicken and try the hurdles!

Jalan finally had one of his dreams come true...he is finally tall enough to drive the lawnmower!! Here his having a great time on it...
Dad has him working out there..not really, Troy already mowed the lawn, Jalan was just playing now...but at least now we know he can start working!

Flag Football

So this last Saturday the boys had their first flag football games. Jalan's was first. He is on the Chief's team this year. They are on different teams due to a mix up at the Rec Center..but the boys were actually glad. Parents not so much. First possesion, the Chiefs walked all over the Patriots, and Jalan even got to run in the first touchdown! Yeah Jalan!
Jalan getting ready to play some more ball. He was out there very comfortable and telling all the other kids what to do and where to go. We were very impressed with his comfort and confidence level. He did great, and he has a great team! Running the ball down the field. He is so skinny and long. He ran alot.

Here is Jalan running the ball again. He of course is the fastest kid on the team, and one of the best runningbacks. What a cutie

He played defense as well. Here he is getting this boys flag. With the tongue out! Their team spanked the other team ending up 40 something to 0. Great first game!

Britton's team is the Eagles. (his dad was happy about that) I loved this pic of his jersey..look how small Britton is..he is always one of the smallest kids, but usually one of the best one as well! Their team played the Giants...here he is pulling the kids flag. Britton played offense and defense.

This is a classic football look to me. What a cute kid he is! Britton also was very comfortable out there and having a great time. Knew just what to do and looked like a pro!

Here is Britton running the ball..which he did alot. The coach liked him as a running back. He was pretty quick for a little guy! The mom in me was getting mad at the coach..Britton would run the ball down the field, then he would take Britton out and put in another kid, and he would make the touchdown! Oh well, I guess Britton didnt care as much as me! Last play of the game, Quarterback threw a hail mary to Britton....here it comes...

And while I didnt get the shot of him catching it, he did..and ran it all the way to the end...until this kid pulled his flag right before the end zone.,,he was too fast for Britton..game over...bummer but Britton did excellent! They won their game as well..not sure the score. He has a really good team as well. Next Sat the boys play each other! Will be an interesting game!

Kitchen!

ok, so the countertops are in!! They came on Thursday. To start off, we were suprised at the color. We thought they would be more black..but they were gray! The more we looked, the more we like it. we arent sure they really go with everything else yet...but I think we are ok. Troy got my new flat cooktop! yipee!! Here is the other side..
This is the island. The bar overhangs and we are going to get stools to go around here, so the kids can eat here. Its really fun! The other side of the island..the sink...my favorite part! Its the integrated sink..I have been waiting for one of these since the first day I saw it in the Trend homes model homes!! LOVE IT!!

Here is me cooking dinner last night...the first time with my new stove and counters!! It was so fun!

Here is the backsplash that we have been working on today. Its not grouted or the outlets put in..but its a taste of how GORGEOUS its gonna be!! I am sooooo excited! Looks amazing! Great job Troy!! as usual! We think this really ties in the gray with the rest.. Yeah I'm sooo happy!

The Biggest Loser

Ok, so I have to brag on my hubby real quick. Troy started his P90X again a couple months ago..well shortly after the new year. At work they started a Biggest loser, and anyone who wanted to join, paid $25 and got in on it. At the end of the 3 months or whatever..the person with the biggest percentage of weight loss wins the pot....Well, Troy won!! he lost about 33 pounds !!! He is soooo skinny! Well, good skinny. He was amazing and kept going strong, even though I admit I wasnt very supportive. He wanted us all to stop eating sweets and eat healthy and exercise...ya right! so I wasnt a very nice wife and ate twinkies and stuff in front of him, and actually told him to stop exercising so much! Anyway..he stuck to it and won the pot of money! I am so proud of him! He went to try on clothes the other day and had lost down 4 pant sizes! All of his old clothes are falling off him. on Sunday he said several people came up to him concerned that he was ok!! Great job babe, Im so proud of you!! I havent taken any pics of him, since he never lets me...and he is gone at conference tonight or I would make him let me take one..I will try to get one and post so you can all see his amazingly skinny body!!

Disnee's Sweet 16 Party

So Disnee finally got her Sweet 16 party on March 19. It was a while to wait, but she was so busy we couldnt find a time to have it! So she came home from school to find that I had decorated the whole downstairs..well mostly..with pictures of her and her baby photos and everything. It was alot of fun getting ready for this party. I love doing this stuff, you all know that! She wanted cake..we decided on TExas sheetcake and cupcakes. Also she wanted chips and salsa, and candy...
Here is the candy and carmel popcorn, and soda! Wow this was a healthy party! Good thing Troy ended up being on call and at the hospital so he didnt have to see all this! Actually, the kids didnt eat very much amazingly...and the next day Troy made us get rid of everything and took the extra cake to work for everyone to eat! I will explain more on that on the next post...

Disnee and Brooke's best friend Carli..gave Disnee a big framed pic of the Jonas concerts they have been to together. It had Disnee's ticket stubs and everything. It was really neat and a big suprise to Dis. To start the party, the kids ate pizza and soda outside and hung out in the yard.

Later we did the cake and presents. Here is the birthday girl having fun! Blowing out her 16 candles!! Wow that is crazy! I guess I didnt take any pics when they opened presents.

Afterward, they played ping pong and pool, and dance revolution. Mostly everyone just hung out and talked and laughed...
Here is Brooke and a friend Kyle playing pool.. The kids just hanging out and talking. Most of the kids had already left but a few girls. Disnee had a really fun time I think. It was a good turnout and a nice relaxing time for the kids to just hang out and be together. Love you Disnee! Hope you had a great party!!
