What we have been up to!!!!!

Well, things around here have been pretty full and crazy as usual..but I thought i would share whats been going on!!

Here is a picture of our basement...newly cleaned out and organized. Anyone who has seen the "old" basement will see what a change it is!! We are proud and the kids are LoVINg it!! They think its the greatest thing there is. WE now have a table ready and a spot to go to when the tornado sirens alarm and wont be covered with spider webs! yeah us! This is our newly cleaned out back porch!! We got it all cleaned out and its so great having a clean and orderly place again! "king Louis" is teaching macee some cheers...(go figure)
The other side of our clean porch..the kids bikes can actually fit in here now!
Another picture of the basement...sorry i cannot figure this picture uploading in the right order still!! WE got it so nice and even got our deep freeze up and running down there..so nice! ya, that is a shower down there. The people before us had their son shower down there all the time since there wasnt a bathroom with a shower upstairs, other than the master..we sure have changed that! its so gross down there, dont ask me how he did that! ughhh
Notice anything missing in our back yard? The pile!! WE got a dumpster and loaded up the pile of "tennis court" and all the other junk from our remodel and got rid of it! it looks WONDERFUL!! We love the new look of our yard!

Troy also tore down the little shack of a shed thingy and its so open and clean out there! WE dont look like such white trash anymore!
Sis doing her cheers!!
Troy decided he would start yet another project(mind you we still have 4 other rooms not finished, even after our vow to finish one room before starting the next)..and so here he is putting down ceramic tile in the laundry room. He tore out the little window seat. He sort of tiled himself into a corner so to speak....haha look at him teetering on the empty space of floor!! This man is insane! What would we do without his tenacity and the hardest work ethic I have ever seen!!! (other than my dad). He is a nonstop crazy person..he cannot sit down and do nothing..there has to be something going on at all times! He keeps me on my toes thats for sure!!

It looks soooo good!! We havent gotten the grout in yet, just the tile and waiting for it to dry...the bad thing is that the washer and dryer are sitting in the living room...hope we dont mind wearing dirty clothes for a while:)

On another note...we have been seeing this alot lately...K Louis is always reading books..he is really into this and we are thrilled!! What a cutie!

Also, we have had a very neat experience in our family. K/B has a friend that has been getting the missionary discussions, and was just baptized a couple of weeks ago. It has been so neat seeing this and participating in the discussions with them and so forth. She asked Troy to baptize her and it was very neat for us. K/B is loving having a friend now to go to church and activities with, as well as school and she is even a cheerleader with her! congrats to KD!!
We went in to check on sis one night, and saw this....I guess she tucked her water in nice and tight..what a goose!

Sorry, soooo busy!

I feel really bad that i havent blogged in so long. i also apologize that my shift key isnt working and i am having issues capitalizing words!! Things here have been soooo hectic and crazy, and nothing really exciting enough to share with the world. Who knew it would be so crazy having 5 kids in 5 schools and trying to drop them all off at the appropriate times, not too early, not too late....and also pick them up at times where they arent the only kid left at school!!! Wow since school has started my life has been nuts. i feel like all i do is drive around town to all the schools! There hasnt been much extra going on..just normal stuff, so i havent felt like sharing. We are still alive and kicking....The kids are loving school and doing well so far. Troy is busy at work, well as busy as a job keeps him that he comes home at noon or so most days...love his job!!! i will post another when there is something else to share...

"Sis"'s first day of preschool!

Today was sis's first day of preschool! She was so cute and so excited! She has been waiting for this since the end of last year. She is going to the Trinity Lutheran Preschool here. This morning sis was talking to Papa and he said he thought he needed to go to Preschool too, and she said to him, "No, you might break the chairs!" It was so funny. When it was time to go to school this afternoon, she told me that I didnt need to take her in, that she could walk in by herself! Of course I took her anyway. She also said in the car, "I'm a little bit nervous, but its ok, its good to be nervous" She listened last night at "hunnies" baptism when Brother Kleinhenz said that same thing to hunnies! What a doll she is. I loved seeing her so independent and having such a good time at school. Her teacher said she had a great day and made alot of new friends. Oh, and before we left to go to school, she said to us, "I'm going to go upstairs to say a prayer before we go, about preschool" We are so blessed to have these wonderful children!!

Baptism of "Hunnies"

Well, we finally got to have Hunnies baptism last night!!
Poor little guy
has been so patient waiting for us to find a good time to have him baptized! We had a small, but very well supported crowd show up last night at the church. We had a nice program and Hunnies was so cute. He was a little nervous, but was so hapy and smiley! After it was over, he kept telling me, "Mom, I feel so warm and I can feel the spirit". We were so grateful for the people who came to support him. We were happy to have my parents here to support hunnies as well. Here are some pics of the baptism.

Trip to Nauvoo

We got the opportunity this last weekend to take a trip up to Nauvoo again this weekend with my parents. They came to visit for "Hunnies" baptism..(will post on that next)..and so we took a wonderful trip up north over the holiday weekend. We left Friday morning and came home sunday evening. We got to see all the amazing church sights, spent alot of time at our hotel where we stayed swimming, bowling, etc. We spent sunday in carthage seeing the sights there, and then headed home. What an amazing time it was to spend time together with our kids teaching them more about Joseph Smith and helping their testimonies grow! We were priveledged to see the new Joseph Smith movie..wow what an experience that was!

We had one small unfortunate incident on our trip...We were going to Lowes Friday night to get a couple of items, and my mom tripped over a ledge on the sidewalk that was about 1 inch high...(We are very upset at that). She fell and hit her head and bruised it up pretty good. If you notice she has a black eye or other owies in any of the pics, thats why. Poor lady...but she was ok and she was an amazing trooper. She didnt let that slow her down at all, and was still able to enjoy all of the events, she just wore her sunglasses around. I love her so much and am so proud of how strong she was during that scary time! Also I am so grateful for my wonderful husband who was (thankfully) there and able to calmly take control of everything and take care of my mom at that scary time for me! I love that man so much and am so grateful for him.

So here is a slideshow of the trip..hope you all enjoy the pictures....We sure did!
