HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY Hunnies!!!!

Today is Hunnies 8th birthday. Happy Birthday Love! I cant believe how fast time flies! So unfortunately, hunnies is having to wait for his baptism until a week or so. Troy is on call today and this weekend, making it not possible to do his baptism this weekend. So we dont know exactly when yet, but it will be soon. I love my kids birthdays because I get to stop and remember the days surrounding their births and remember how much I love being their moms. When hunnies was born we were just moving out of the Willis' home in Overgaard and moving into our travel trailer in my parents yard! It was pretty exciting times. I remember it like it was yesterday. Of course I went into preterm labor about 33 weeks into the pregnancy and so I was on terbutaline from that point on. YUK! So I went to my dr appt the week before he was born and Dr. Hunter said to me, ok, take the medicine thru the 24th, and then you will be 36 weeks and can stop taking the meds. So I did...took my last one at midnight...and had regular contractions all night. I left with Troy to go to work at 6 am..he was working at Navapache Hosptial in Showlow. When I got there I was a 6 or 7 cm and so I was like, yeah! Of course, the nurses were all mad cuz I wasnt really 36 weeks for another 2 days! So the dr was so dumb! but luckily it was too late to stop the labor now!! So he was born that morningish, and he was our biggest kid to that point, 5 lbs, 15 oz!! He was such a cute baby! the most adorable kid anyone has ever seen! And I am not being predjudice...everyone said so!! hunnies was the BEST baby ever. He was so quiet and sweet and just sat around smiling. Troy and I would take him out with us wherever we went...on dates, shopping whatever, cuz he was SOOOO good! What an angel we were blessed with!! He has continued to be such a sweet boy!! Here are some things about hunnies now:

1. He is the hardest worker ever! Loves to be dad's helper and is always at his daddy's side.

2. He is a snuggler, hugger and such a softie! He is very sensitive and cries easily.

3. He has the most gorgeous eyes! Everyone that see's him has to comment!

4. He is smart! He got straight A's, and all S's last year in school! Reads well and is quick to catch onto things.

5. Loves to play sports, ride his bike, jump on the tramp or anything outside.

6. His nicknames are Baluba(his dad calls him this), bud, britton hunnies, sugar love,
easy money, and lash.

7. He has alot of energy and can run and swim and be crazy all day long!

8. He tans so easy and is as "brown as a biscuit" as sister Waggoner says...

9. his new favorite color is black..go figure

10. loves to play video games; his DS, x-box and the Wii.

We sure love this boy and are so glad he is in our family. Sad that daddy is having to spend all day at the hospital..and wont be home until around midnight or so. We opened presents and had cake without the whole family. Lee is at youth conference today and tomorrow too! The pictures are a little out of order, but I had to put the one of his "pocket size" hymn book that he has been asking for forever!! What a weirdo!!! Happy Birthday Hunnies!!

Great Job KL!!!

KL has been playing baseball this year and his team went to the playoffs this week. Tonight was his first game, and he did so great! Unfortunately, his team lost, but KL did a great job and I am so proud of him. He has improved alot this year and had a really fun season. He had such a great coach who really took time for him and had a special interest in him. The game tonight KL truly showed us all the things his dad has been working with him on this season. KL is very shy and almost scared out there, but he has really grown alot. He unfortunately had 2 walks, but he was part of a great exciting play. He stole second base, and a bit later stole third, and when the other team overthrew the ball to get him out at 3rd, he got up after sliding and getting hit by the ball, and ran and stole home and slid in under the catcher to get there safe! It was so exciting and all the fans were cheering YEAH (KL)!! It was so wonderful to see his huge smile!! Of course I dont have a pic of it, cuz taking pics through chain link is so hard! But here are a couple of the game. Great Job Boy!!

Lee's surgery

Lee had to get surgery on her hand this week. She had a cyst on the palm of her hand, actually attached to the tendon on her middle finger that really bothered her. Particularly it was worse when she was typing or writing-useful on the stinkin computer that occupies her entire day!!! Anyway..plus she had a weird mole on her palm that they removed also. It was a very minor outpatient surgery, but always scary! Troy is always a freak about anesthesia, since he knows the risks..because she had to have general anesthesia and get put out. The CRNA that did the procedure was really nice and great. Troy talked to him and said he did everything he would have done, so he felt good about that. She has been in a little pain, but not too bad. Here are some pics of her getting ready, and after they gave her the good relaxing drugs, and last after we got home that afternoon. She has to keep the bandage on until next Wed. and they will remove the dressing. She keeps the stitches in until the following week when they will remove them. Wish her luck as tomorrow her and Brooke and some friends are going to the Jonas Brothers concert AGAIN...spoiled brats...so hope she doesnt injure herself! Yeah Nick Jonas....We are just grateful to have her healthy and happy again...We are so blessed. Love you Dis!
